Elemental is building an asset portfolio of high-class exploration projects within Scandinavia. Currently, the focus is primarily on identifying magmatic, intrusive-hosted Ni-Cu-Co deposits and orogenic gold deposits within Sweden.
In January 2022, Elemental executed an Option Agreement with Mawson Gold Ltd (TSX:MAW) for the Skellefteå North Project located within the world-class Skellefte Belt.
In May 2022, Elemental was granted two new exploration permits forming two new projects prospective for magmatic, intrusive-hosted Ni-Cu-Co. The Gårkälen and Kälen Projects are both located at the southern end of the so-called 'Västerbotten Nickel Line' in Sweden and contain historic diamond drill intercepts of nickel mineralisation.
The Gårkälen deposit is located only 13km to the west of the large Rörmyrberget nickel deposit that has a current Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate of 36.8Mt @ 0.19% Ni, 0.02% Cu and 0.009% Co (0,21% NiEq) (Gungnir Resources, 2020). Gungnir has recently identified a series of new EM conductors using modern, high-powered surface EM over areas previously flown with a early version of the SkyTEM system in 2006. The Gårkälen Project was also covered by the same SkyTEM survey in 2006 but has not received any modern surface EM surveying or general exploration since that time. Reprocessing and interpretation of the historic SkyTEM data by Elemental has identified several EM anomalies that require follow-up with modern, high-powered surface EM.
